Going home was so refreshing and much needed. My main reason for going home was to spend Mother’s Day with my mom. Also, I haven’t been home in a little over a year, and I needed to go home. Although Atlanta has changed (sometimes for the worst), I still love it. I miss the southern hospitality, food, and mannerisms of southern people. The west coast can’t come close when it comes to things like that. I also miss my family and friends, so it was nice to spend time with them.
For Mother’s Day, we celebrated the entire weekend. I took my mom to breakfast on Saturday at the Flying Biscuit, and we attended the Atlanta Botanical Garden’s Connoisseur Tour. My mother and I love gardens, and we were elated to see beautiful gardens across the city. Here are some pictures from the tour:
This BBQ place was on hubby’s “Food Bucket List.” He says it was good, and it smelled delicious. I didn’t eat any because my family also owns a BBQ restaurant, and I support my own 🙂
I found this to be weird and beautiful. I’m fascinated by the plants growing on the outside of the flower pot.
Now this is an edible/ “beauty garden.” #Goal
My favorite flower…peony.
Our tour was completed with some of the best cupcakes in the world…CamiCakes Cupcakes. If you’re in Atlanta, please check out this cute bakery.
