It’s the end of the week, but not technically for me. Nurses have no such thing as “weekends,” but I’m happy to be able to spend this weekend off. Hubby and I have plans on visiting with friends tomorrow, and celebrating Easter/Resurrection with his family. I’ve spent Easter with his family before, and I loved it. Hello! I hope all of you are enjoying this first day of Spring. Here in Southern California, the weather is beautiful! It’s 82 degrees, the sun is shining, and the sky is a pretty blue with white clouds. I know it sounds very “picture perfect,” but its the truth. My biggest problem in life is that I put too much pressure on myself and I expect too much (of myself). Read More

I read the book, The Secret, many years ago, but I apply the principle of it daily. One of the most important principles of the book teaches you to be thankful. It doesn’t matter how big or small–just be thankful of the things in your life. When you give thanks for what you have, you give energy to receive more in life. I have a journal in which I write down good things that have happened to me daily; for, it’s a constant reminder that I have so much to be thankful for. Plus, it makes me feel great to see that my day wasn’t as bad as I thought it was (sometimes). Read More
